Parsons Jack Russell Terrier Leads Internet Revolt

With the internet ever-growing and representing the, many and varied, interests and activities of humans, I felt it was high-time that we Jack Russells began to stake a claim. There is no question about it dogs are under-represented on the web, and the Jack Russell Terrier in particular; and so its my aim to ensure the balance is properly redressed. So thats why I have started the Parsons Nose ” my Blog for discerning animals.

Every dog I have spoken to about the blog has been really encouraging and I do believe that its time for the dogs of the world to get fair representation. Our views never seem to be taken into consideration. For example, if you are a dog reading this right now, how often do you get proper internet access time allocated to you? I bet its hardly ever ” right? And what about the most important question of dog-biscuits ” has anyone ever asked you what your favourites are? No ” I bet they have not.

In any case, who said that dogs ought to be eating flippin dog-biscuits anyway? We are naturally omniverous which means we eat anything, but that does not mean people should take advantage of our good nature. Let’s face it, we all prefer meat. Humans take notice – dogs like meat. See – that’s why we need a voice on the internet.

So you can see why the subject of dog rights is so very important. Dogs of the world need to take the initiative – and the time is right. If we stick together on this, perhaps we can get some laws changed so that dogs can always get what they need: proper walks, good quality treats and plenty of dog-meat.

Join me in my campaign for dog rights by visiting my blog and leaving me a message. Together, we dogs are changing the world.

Love, Darcey,

Lick, lick, lick!

Boston Terriers – Breed Specific Issues

When it comes to owning a dog, Boston Terriers are a great choice. Like every different breed of dog, these dogs come with their own traits and genetic issues that need to be known by anyone considering owning one.

Keeping your dog healthy and happy should be your first priority. Knowing their health concerns and different things that they are commonly susceptible to is the first step in keeping them healthy. Pure bred dogs like these are often more susceptible to illness than mixed breed dogs.

Some people who know this opt to own mixed breeds or mutts, because they are less likely to have health problems. However, you shouldn’t avoid getting the dog that you want just because they might develop a condition at some point. Isn’t it better to know in the first place? Getting your dog from a proper breeder who knows about the breed and their genetic line can be a great advantage when getting Boston Terriers.

Boston Terriers are especially susceptible to knee problems, heart problems, mange, and breathing problems. Therefore, making sure that they are taken care of in all of these areas is essential. This might require extra care, but it is well worth it for a healthy and happy dog.

These dogs are also sensitive to extremely hot or cold weather. They need to be kept indoors at all times, and only let out for short periods of time when it is hot, humid, or extremely cold outside. Otherwise, they can easily become ill as a result.

Wheezing is common in these dogs, as well as other breeds that have short snouts. That doesn’t mean that you can write it off, though. Any medical concern or odd behavior that occurs needs to be checked by a vet before it is dismissed as being unimportant.

Another common problem for these dogs is eye issues. They are more prone to eye infections, cuts, and scrapes because their eyes are so prominent. This means that you need to pay special attention to their eyes so that they don’t get to a point where they need emergency medical attention.

Owning a dog is a big responsibility, and owning Boston Terriers is no different. You should take the time to check your dog out regularly to make sure they are feeling well and don’t have any concerning bumps, bruises, or other problems. They can’t tell you when they’re sick, so they depend on you to pay attention to their behavior on a regular basis.

Why Boston Terriers Are A Great Addition To Any Family

Boston Terriers are known for being loyal, lovable dogs that provide a great addition to any family. They are great family pets, and are very intelligent, friendly, and outgoing. Many breeds of dogs are not good family dogs, but these dogs love having a family of their own.

Boston Terriers socialize well, which means that they’ll be great with any family unit. As long as you start when the puppy is young and give them as much interaction as you can, he or she will provide you will a lifetime of fun and friendly memories.

You don’t want to take your puppy anywhere before he or she gets shots, though. Proper vaccinations for Boston Terriers will keep them from getting sick and causing devastation and financial problems that are unnecessary. No one wants their dog to get sick, which is why vaccines are so important.

Dog training is another essential part of owning Boston Terriers. These dogs, like all dogs, should not be treated aggressively or picked on excessively by children or adults. They will become defensive if they feel threatened enough, and even the best trained and tamest dog can bite if provoked to a certain point.

Training your puppy will eliminate many potential issues that could arise in owning a dog. You also need to train yourself and your family, though. You shouldn’t let anyone pick on the dog or be mean to it for any reason. If treated badly, the dog will become defensive and not be a good pet in the long run.

It might prove to be a little more difficult to train Boston Terriers than larger dogs, because small dogs are known for being more stubborn and set in their ways. Establishing boundaries and sticking with a consistent routine from the time that you get the puppy will ensure that you are in control and that your dog doesn’t take over your home.

While having a new dog can be very exciting, it is also a lot of responsibility. When you elect to get a dog, you should assume that you are getting another child, and be prepared for training and teaching the dog everything that he or she needs to know.

As long as your family and your new pet are properly trained, you will enjoy many years of fun and companionship from Boston Terriers. These dogs will give your life more value and allow your family to have a lifetime of memories that you might not have otherwise had.
