Dog Treats- Avoid Using This Toxic Ingredient

One of my weakness is seeing my dog unhappy with those pleading eyes. As I snack on a tasty snack, it’s very difficult to resist feeding Sam my dog with just a tiny bite. However what we look upon as good “people foods” can be a big threat to the health of your poor unsuspecting dog.

For many years now, dog specialists seem to agree that to feed your dog on table scraps can be highly poisonous. As there is a variety of healthy, tasty foods to choose from, great care should be taken not to give foods that can harm your pet. One example being grapes.

Grapes are known to be very dangerous to the dog’s kidneys and can be fatal.

Even though the number of grapes that might be dangerous and poisonous is unknown, eating less than 5 grapes may be very harmful to a dog weighing at least 20 pounds.

What are some indicators that your dog has consumed poison in grapes?

Within 24 hours, vomiting, weakness and diarrhoea may be present. However, these symptoms can start in as little as a few hours. You may also notice that your dog is urinating a lot less. This can be a symptom of his kidneys shutting down.

Is there anything that can be done now?

In case you feel that your dog has swallowed some poisonous food, pay a visit to your veterinarian without wasting any time. Probably, the dog will be carefully checked, and given large amounts of fluids till he gets better.

To stop this attack do not give your dog “people food”. Get various tasty ingredients (suited for dogs) keeping in mind that this is not just a dog treat but also a healthy tasty snack for your pet.
