Dog Beds – Do You Need One?

In years, our dilemma was finding our 135 pound Newfoundland dog sleeping on our bed or couch every time we get back from a walk. To settle this issue, we bought him his own memory foam bed and now he sleeps there. Our dog’s bed works the same as the ones, we human beings use.So, your dog gets the same benefits of support especially if you have an older dog with joint problems. We placed his bed at the foot of our bed under the ceiling fan. More than once did we saw him sleeping on his back, his belly up, and his fur, swaying to and fro. He seems to be having a nice time in dreamland.

He is one satisfied dog! He is one pleased dog!

Since he is getting older, we make an effort that he stays physically fit and emotionally happy. We want him to live long. BooBoo, as we amorously call him, is spoiled all the time but only up to the extent that is not damaging to his health. He has limitations on food, so we monitor his intake. Even the treats we serve him is healthy. He tends to engulf his food in a hurry, as most animals do. In just seconds, the food is gone.

He drinks a lot of water and we noticed he would just gulp it as well.We did some research and found out this was not beneficial for his well being that gulping food and water can cause acid reflux, overeating, erratic eating, choking, vomiting, digestive and nausea problems. There was this container that we found for him. It controls the momentum of his eating and drinking. I think we should have one too for ourselves because we often like to speed up everything including our drinking and eating.

You probably haven’t recognized a Newfoundland, but its breed has very thick fur and discards greasy dander. These dogs exhibit a very strong propensity to rescue people from the icy waters of Newfoundland and their fur protects them from the freezing cold. Nevertheless, the prickly heat of the summer in our place can be unpleasant for him.

His coat makes a distinctive smell and sheds many hairs. He starts to smell awful during winter. We don’t like bathing him during winter because his fur dries too slow. That is why we need to find another way to bathe him. Yes, we found it. We stumbled upon an incredible brush. It is an ionized brush that uses negative charges for cleaning, removing odors, and untangling fur. Water or any chemical is unnecessary. BooBoo gets to be cleaned during summer and winter, and we will enjoy him smelling fresh. Humans and dog alike are pleased.

Yes, we do pamper our pets. However, they bless us with so much. If you want your dog to grow old with you, make sure he/she stays in good physical condition with a proper diet, exercise and rest. Most of all, love, love, love.

Don’t let your canine friend rest on the tough Ground. Get him comfortable on the dog beds. At Best Pet Products you may choose from a range of dog beds that can suit your requirements.
